Hanggliding- and paragliding tandemflights in the swiss mountains
The paragliding school Diemtigtal is located between the famos mountains Niesen and Stockhorn, close to the lake of Thun and in front of the swiss alps.
We offer individual tandem flights with paragliders of about 8oo meters of altitude for sfr 170.-
Hanggliding (Delta) tandemflights of about 800m of altitude for sfr 200.-. Transportation incl.
Scenic tandemflights from the Niesen and Stockhorn with great panorama view (up to 1600m of altitude) for sfr. 260.-.
This price include the price of the cable car to the Niesen or Stockhorn.
From the Niesen, you can fly in the late afternoon to Spiez and over the lake of Thun - dont miss this spectacular view!

We offer year around paragliding shool and tandem flights and in summer months also hanggliding school and hanggliding tandemflights.
Requirements: For a tandem flight: you should be able to run about 10 m and jump from a chair onto a hard surface without problems for your health. There is no age limit, but we take no children under 7 years. Children only with the consent of the parents.
Paragliding School - learn to fly paragliders in switzerland
Introduction day on the training slope:
On a first practical instruction day on the training slope you get know the paraglider equipement, learn to handle the paraglider on the ground and you will lift off yourself for some small radio guided flights (some feet over ground and about 100 - 200 m far)
This introduction day starts usually at 9.30 am and goes to about 4 pm. You have to take your lunch with you.
The price for this day is sfr 120.- (students sfr 100.-) and includes the instruction and all the flight gear. (Credited to the basic course)
Basic course
The basic course contents about 3 to 4 days on the training slope (up to 40 m high) and 2 days with longer flights from 300 to 800 m high slopes. You learn to handle the paraglider on the ground and in the air, inlcuding take off, turns, landing and special effects. Most time will be used for practical work, but you also get some basic theoretical know-how.
The basic course usually takes 5 - 6 days, including all the instruction and flight gear and costs sfr 850.- (students sfr 720.-)
Licence course:
The licence course is the next step towards the hangglider or paraglider licence. This course includes at least 45 flights in five different flying-sites, each with at least 300 m of altitude or five minutes of flight time. You will learn different turns and figures, basics of thermal flying and slope soaring and you have to train for your practical and written final test.
The costs of the paragliding licence course:
- if you buy a paragliding equipment in our school: sfr 1100.- (if bought elsewhere, sfr 1800.-)
- including renting of the full equipment for the couse: sfr 2500.-
Special offer: Basic and Licence course together:
- Licence course with a equipment purchased from us: sfr 1800.- (if bought elsewhere, sfr 2500.-)
- Licence course including renting of the equipment: sfr 3200.-
-All inclusive: Basic, Theorie and Licence courses, and a complete brand new topsave paragliding equipent for only sfr 7900.- (students 7500.-) (allmost everytihng incl. except . exam fees and the personal glider insurance)
Requirements for paragliding and hanggliding students: - Minimum age is 15 years, normal physical condition and health, you should be able to run about 10m and jump from a chair to a hard surface without problems for your bones and knees.
Paragliding and hanggliding requires a licence in most countries. To get the swiss paragliding licence you need at least 50 long flights in a official paragliding school and you have to pass a theoretical and practical test. After that, you can fly in every country all over the world for your lifetime. For your hangglider, you need a special hanggliding-liability insurance (about sfr 80.- a year)
